1. Overview
You can ask us to delete your MyGrowPal account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to submit a request, what happens to your data, and how long the process takes.
Deleting your account is permanent. Once completed, you will lose access to your seed library, garden beds, journal entries, photos, and all other content stored in the App.
Ready to request deletion? Send us an email from the address linked to your MyGrowPal account. We will confirm and process your request.
Email deletion request2. How to request deletion
You do not need to have the App installed to submit a request. Follow these steps:
- Send an email to ciaran@mygrowpal.app from the email address registered to your MyGrowPal account.
- Use the subject line "MyGrowPal Account Deletion Request" and clearly state that you want your account and associated data deleted.
- We will reply to confirm we received your request. If we need to verify your identity, we will let you know.
- Once verified, we will delete your account and associated data and send you a confirmation email when the process is complete.
Tip: Use the button above to open your email app with a pre-filled message. Just check the registered email address is correct before sending.
3. What we delete
When your account is deleted, we remove or anonymise the personal data linked to it, including:
- Your account details (email address, display name, and authentication credentials)
- Your location information (postcode and derived coordinates)
- Your seed library, sowing and harvest logs, garden beds, and layouts
- Journal entries, notes, and AI analysis generated from your photos
- Photos and images you uploaded to the App
- Notification preferences and device notification tokens
- Subscription status and purchase history held by MyGrowPal
4. What may remain
In some cases, we may retain limited information where we are legally required to do so — for example, to comply with tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations. Where retention is necessary, we will restrict access to that data and delete it once the legal requirement expires.
Anonymised or aggregated data that can no longer be linked to you may be kept for service improvement and security purposes.
Data held by third-party services (such as Google Play for payment records, or RevenueCat for subscription management) is governed by those providers' own retention policies. You may need to manage those separately through your Google Play account.
5. How long it takes
We aim to complete account deletion requests within 30 days of verifying your identity. In most cases, deletion happens sooner. We will email you once your account and associated data have been deleted.
If we need additional time or information, we will let you know and explain why.
6. Verifying your identity
To protect your account, we can only process deletion requests from the email address registered to your MyGrowPal account. If you no longer have access to that email address, contact us at ciaran@mygrowpal.app and we will work with you to verify your identity using alternative details.
7. Active subscriptions
Deleting your MyGrowPal account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. Before or after requesting account deletion, cancel any active subscription through your Google Play subscriptions settings to avoid further charges.
8. Questions
